The target site is close to Samsung Jungang Station on Subway Line 9, and the development conditions are good. The surrounding sites are also continuously reconstructed, which is highly likely to form a new skyline. The client requested the use of a box type and curtain wall glass system that maximizes the legal building-to-land ratio, floor area ratio, and maximum height. The mass with a maximum height of 53m, a width of 12.6m, and a depth of 14.7m has a slender ratio of approximately 4:1, making it possible to create an image as a high-rise building compared to a building with a total floor area of 830 pyeong including the basement.
On the other hand, the frit pattern class using ceramic paint is used for human scale window expression considering the harmony with the existing 3~5 storey relatively low buildings. By paying attention to the characteristics of fritted glass, which can freely express patterns through silk screen technique, it was planned to become a stylish and friendly building with a unique appearance. Moreover, the frit pattern glass applied to the front of the building can block direct sunlight to a certain level, so it is known that energy efficiency can be further improved when used with Low-E glass.
CAD/CAM
The desired image is derived through dozens of computer simulations using Parametric Design (design using linkage function algorithm) technology. In order to realistically realize the image derived in this way, an optimized system is devised by studying the frit glass production process. (P18~P21) To produce frit glass, the glass is cut to the desired size, and the design pattern is made into plate making a silk screen. It is coated and strengthened with this technique, and up to 3rd printing is possible. In general, 2nd printing is economical and the size of engraving is economical up to 2,400 X 5,000. Shift printing is possible with the same plate making, but mirror printing is not possible.
frit plate prototype
In order to economically implement dynamic frit patterns, it is essential to modularize silk screen engraving and simplify the process. Various pattern effects applied to the front façade can be produced through 2 degree output using only 15 plate making modules expressed in diagrams. If the pattern grid is set at a uniform interval of 50mm X 50mm and the patterns are printed alternately at intervals of 100mm X 100mm when printing 1st and 2nd degrees, various patterns introduced in P19 can be effectively produced with the same number of engravings.
Using the red engraving of the first row, print 1 degree at intervals of 100mm X 100mm on the glass surface, and then print 2 degrees alternately with the 1st printing at 100mm X 10mm intervals again with the blue engraving of the second row. In order to find the most economical number and combination of engraving modules while maintaining a dynamic exterior image, an optimized combination was found through numerous tests. Patterns made with only 1 degree output are constructed at once using a yellow engraving plate.
The standard floor curtain wall glass module, planned with a floor height of 3.6m and a ceiling height of 2.4m, consists of four types: 2.4m X 1.2m, 1.2m X 1.2m, 2.4m X 1.5m, 1.2m X 1.5m, with a floor height of 5.4m and a ceiling height of 5.4m. The curtain wall glass module on the lower floors of the first and second floors planned to be 4.2m consists of four types: 3.0m X 1.2m, 1.2m X 1.2m, 3.0m X 1.5m, and 1.2m X 1.5m.
By combining the 15 engraving modules introduced above with a total of 8 curtain wall glass modules, various frit patterns can be created as follows. 51 different frit 1 pattern codes are expressed by a combination of uppercase engraving codes and lowercase glass codes. If the 1st frit pattern expressed in red and the 1st frit pattern expressed in blue are combined and output 2nd degree, more diverse patterns can be created.
Frit pattern combination code
The diagram expresses the development of the front façade to be constructed with curtain wall glass using the 51 frit pattern codes introduced above. The curtain wall glass module, which is a combination of red frit 1 degree pattern code and blue frit 1 degree pattern code, is the part to output 2 degrees. The diagram on the right of the development diagram represents the number of frit patterns. The glass modules printed in this way are combined again to create the effect of overlapping square patterns of various shapes, which provides various views from inside the office through the ceramic frit patterns. By concentrating the areas where the frit pattern does not protrude from the floor at the height of 0m, 0.6m, and 1.2m from the floor while forming a square, consider that the frit pattern can perform a creative function beyond a simple pattern.
Frit pattern shielding rate
The diagram expresses the ratio of the window created in this way and the shielding rate of the frit pattern for each layer. It is adjusted to around 20% on the reference floor except for the lower and rooftop floors, so that the landscape and lighting conditions provided inside are uniformly different from the exterior image consisting of various patterns. keep
